Hi all, I havent thought about or played 40K for... maybe 10 years. I was cleaning out the office and I came across my old Codexes.... Wow, memory lane. I dont think I am going to get back into the hobby beyond maybe a computer game or fluff (some good sci fi there) but I got to thinking off on a tangent, remembered Dakka Dakka and thought I would see what those in the know though.

What would the ultimate wargear be for a Astartes force and for an IG force. Imperial tech only, but all of the 1 off weapons and armor and what not would be fair game. Dont worry about the rules, just put together what you think would be the most effective wargear combinations you can imagine. Just 1 guy or the whole army if you wish.

The one that jumped into my head was:

Astartes Wargear:

Artificer armor, Jump pack, Dorns Arrow on one power fist, second power fist with grenade lancher (there was a Termi years ago with one) shooting melta grenades, that shield thing the Chaplins have.

That would be a blast hopping around with that wargear!

Refresh my memory, meltas used to be able to be used as a flamer or a melta, right?

I might to this route if that is the case.

Artificer armor, Personal Teleport, Jump pack, Dorns arrow on one power fist, Melta pistol (flamer mode as well) on other power fist, rasarius (Shield Thing), and whatever else is cool, grenades, targeter, etc...

A basic tactical marine- wrist mounted infernus pistol, wrist mounted hand flamer, (on different arms) jump pack, sanguinary guard six pack, artificer armour, death mask, personal teleporter, terminator honours, adamantine mantle (going old school marines here) sicarius' sword-thing in one hand and axe of morkai in the other. pretty decent, I think. I just wasn't sure whether to give him terminator armour or not??

a teleport hommer. the one that DA's use. and ofcourse the entire deathwing company waiting in a battlebarge up in orbit

Fine, so I'll add a Vortex Grenade to my guy, since I forgot it. Still think this'd tear through anything though

Warding Stave, storm shield, Artificer Amrour, terminator honours, adamantium mantle, personal teleporter, Wrist mounted hand flamer, wrist mounted infernus pistol, vortex grenade, crusade seals, purity seals, red grail, death mask of sanguinius

Terminator armour, Fist of Dorn, cloak of St. Aspira, adamantium mantle, book of St. Lucius, storm shield, inferno pistol, vortex grenade, blood chalice, warding save, personal teleporter, frag and krak grenades.

A displacer field and two web pistols. Pretend to be a warp spider.
