Hey Dakka, I've been working on my imp guard lately and I ran into Yarricks Baneblade aka the Fortress of Arrogance. It looks like it would be alot of fun but im new to the conversion side of 40k. Does anyone have any tips or a manuel I can go off of to make a FoA Baneblade?

I've look through the gallery alittle I was also kinda hoping to see what other people have done, I was probably going to try and use some of my Bitz from my CoD I just got.

I think the city of death pieces is a good start. Im sure you could also look around at a local hobby store in their plasticard section and train accessories also can provide a good base to start with. Best of luck!

Well the main thing is the top of the main turret, that's the biggest detail of it. Just by looking at the pictures before painting is going to be a breeze besides the side that says " Fortress of arrogance" hehe.

Since I'm a big fan of modular designs, making my Fortress of Arrogance optional instead of gluing it on was a big priority for me. The hardest part was getting the whole thing to be balanced on top of the turret while still supporting the weight of a metal fig like Yarrick but eventually (after many metal washers!) it worked. basically, the platform fits on top of the turret with it's peg going into the top hatch. The platform has the usual imperial icons like eagles and skulls with an additional microphone for the ol' commissar and some speakers on the side. It's not exactly a match for the GW one but i think it still captures the flavor intended.
