ok so im way new still and just got 3 box sets of aobr (ork only) and a few extras and was thinking of about a 1000 point army to go against my friend who has tau let me know what i should change.

I want to be able to play a game and have fun and give a challenge to my friend not just to win any sugestions on IF OR HOW to make this list better on the cheap would be awesome

HQ is like a single character, like Warboss or Big Mek, Nobz would be a separate unit that the HQ could join.

So you could go like:

and so on with your list, but then when you go to play have the Big Mek and Warboss join the Nobz which would be considered a troop, not an elite because the warboss allows them.

As for your list it looks OK, on foot shootas are better then sluggas, you could cut off army and add the shoota arm bitz, I've also been told you can add a plastic tube to the barrel of a slugga to make it into a longer gun like a shoota, I hear the sticks from push pops can work for this. Nob with PK and Boss Pole is awesome, make sure every boyz mobs has this. Is your friend brining tanks? If so try and fit 2 deffkoptas with twin linked rokkit launchas like you get with the AoBR set and give them some buzzsaws, you deploy them as scouts within 12 inches of the enemy armor and first turn shoot at it's side and assault it and you may just blow them up, I find this tactic to be very good for a green tide list like you are running. And yes your nobz would get the 5++ and FNP if you give them cybork body upgrades.

^ good advise but on the deff koptas they are scouts but also jet bikes so turbo boost them on the scout move for a 3+ cover save if they get shot at
