I was a little confused by this.
Is it possible for a Necron Lord to Veil of Darkness a Destroyer unit?

Answer, Yes they can.

Aslong as they have the necron special rule (they do) veil can be used to move them.


Edit: You might want to read the rules for the wargear before posting, as it even says it there.

Sure! They are necrons, ay?

But why do it? To get them out of an assault is the only thing I can think of, because otherwise they are maneuverable enough that they can keep their distance and plink away at stuff.

Perhaps you want to move them over 12" and still shoot with them?

All I know is my Necron friend likes to do this to my Orks.
