So, i've still not managed to win a game against my fellow Chaos marine opponent.
We're expanding from our 600pt armies to 1000pts.

Here's what I have so far
HQ - Farseer runes and stones, fortune and doom.
Seer council - 6 warlocks (2 spears, 1xenhance)

Wraithlord - sword and scatter laser

2 x Jetbike squads of 3 with SC.

So far his doom siren has made mincemeat of my seer council and my wraithlord can never catch his flying DP which goes nom nom nom on my jetbikes.

So here's my plan for expansion

Extra squad of bikes.
Wave serpent (tl Scatters) for the seer council who also take 4xdestructors
Swap doom for mind war
Fire prism.
Swap sword for EML

I really really can't be bothered to do 6 jet seer conversions, hence the wave serpent.
I keep wondering if a squadron of warwalkers would be a better choice than the fire prism.

I appreciate this is a low point army, but we're still finding our way with the rules (although last game only took 1 hour).
Any help would be appreciated.

Seer council is a large investment in both points and play style at this point level.

I would be tempted to have bike squads 6 strong that way with 2 cannons and 4 catapults they can do some damage and are not a liability in a KP mission.

Also if you are set on running the Wraith Lord run him with ranged weapons and use him to counter assault rather than pushing him up field. The one nice thing about the lord is he is fairly durable if played right in this size of game so he is a good safe firing platform for the more expensive eldar heavy weapons.

As for war walker over Fire Prism I would vote yes but I would like to see both. They do different enough jobs that they are not competing for the same targets and can actually compliment each other quite nicely.

In all honesty I would advise you to use the points in the seer council other places in the codex but if you are sold on them you'll need to play them very carefully to get the most out of them.

Thanks alspal8me, that's some v good tips there. We are planning on pushing for 1500 pts and then ultimatley 1750pts, but we're taking it in stages.

Squad of walkers and a prism sounds real good.

I guess I'm investing points in the seer council because i've got the mini's now and am fed up buying minis I don't use (already relegated striking scorpions and a guardian squad)

Get warlocks for the guardian jetbike squads. You don't have to convert an entire seer council, but at least accompany the Jetbikes. They are twice as good when they are accompanied by a warlock
Chapter House Studios makes a great conversion kit if you aren't feeling up to converting on your own.

Also after you get wave serpent for your council You'll have a very fast list. Quite frankly the Wraithlord just doesn't fit in with this style of Eldar, Hes too slow, and requires your psychers to baby sit him so he doesn't roll that dreaded one and just hang out.

Get 2 fire prisms, and run those as your heavy support.

Try running this list at 1000 (or at least proxy it). See how you like it. I included your council because you seem to like them Anyway mechanized council isn't awful. I know Wustenflux at least has used one extensively

(100) Farseer- Warding, Fortune
(290) 6 Warlocks- 1 embolden, 1 enhance
(115) Wave Serpent- scatter laser

(129) 3 Jetbikes + Warlock- cannon, spear, embolden
(129) 3 Jetbikes + Warlock- cannon, spear, embolden

(115) Fire Prism
(115) Fire Prism

total (993)
