So I was looking at the Nurgle heretic list in IMPERIAL ARMOUR VOLUME SEVEN - THE SIEGE OF VRAKS PART THREE (copypasta, sorry) and I was thinking it would be totally awesome for me to play an army like that. My chaos dex is a little weak sometimes, so it has me looking elsewhere for ways to play chaos and still have fun. Basically, my question is, do a lot of people at your FLGS or wherever you play have problems with using FW rules? And if they do, could you explain why please? Most things seem quite balanced, or more likely, overpriced even.

I have seen a fair few at my FLGS, but we deem a good time by both players more important than anything else.

I personally faced a forge world IG tank army, cannot remember its name but damn it was a fun game, Kharn loves carving up Salamanders with equal skill as Leman Russ's!

Also individual FW models are cool, but facing 3 LR Achielles with my Daemons was just...Urgh.

Well, to give you an example, here's a list I wrote out using the heretic army list...do you think this is cheese? Would you play against it? If not, why?

Blight Drone - 125

Necrosius, the Company Command squad, and the Rogue Nurgle Psykers all ride in the one Chimaera, kinda like a deathstar or whatever. Enforcers go one in the Company Command with Necrosius, and one each in the Armoured Fist squads. I don't think this is that bad...

IMO, apart from Armoured Company and possibly the IA10 SM Siege List, the FW lists are not going to be a major upset for an opponent.

It's adding individual units into the existing Codices where you have to be careful about how they change the playing field.

EDIT: IIRC the Blight Drone isn't actually available in the Renegade list, only to CSM and Chaos Daemons, so probably worth specifically mentioning that to any opponent.

Did a whole remake of the list, looks like this now. Do you think this could actually be competitive? It's already so fluffy. XD
