Couldn't find any relevant posts, so let me ask for this clarification.
Squad of
GK's with Librarian with The Shrouding Psychic ability are embarked on a Land Raider. Land raider drives forward and pop's smoke launchers, giving it a 4+ cover save until the end of the opponents shooting phase. At the start of the opponents shooting phase, the Libby casts The Shrouding from inside. Does the Land Raider get to benefit from stealth and up it's cover save to a 3+?
The Shrouding: This power is used during the opponent's Shooting phase, if the psychic test is passed, the Librarian, and any friendly unit(s) within 6" of him have the Stealth special rule. If the unit is not in cover it benefits from a 6+ cover save instead. This power lasts until the end of the turn.
The Shrouding should be able to be cast even if smoke is popped, as A) It's not a Psychic Shooting Attack and B) Smoke Launchers only restrict shooting for the "same turn" in which they are used.
I don't see any restrictions on stealth being applied to vehicles, and as far as I can tell according to the
BRB (
pg 4-5 and again on
Pg. 51) and Codexes, vehicles are a unit. Just wanted to double check with the community before people start calling shenanigans.
Edit: Can't spell today...
