So for a long while I have been thinking of maybe doing some chaos marines in the future. Some day when my Orks and Space wolves are a bit more completed and I can field a good 2500-3000 armies with both...should take like two years or so. The main reason I want to do this is because I saw this really unique and cool looking army someone from a local game store has been working on.

He loves to take the Fantasy bits from the Skaven army and he is building Skaven (rat people) Plague Marines with them and using all sorts of parts from that army. Like on his predator he has two actual crystals that are cut into long large pieces that are used as side sponsens with that weird seige weapon the skeven have for the main gun.

you know just cool as heck type of stuff that made me want to do something a bit similar but different enough from what they are doing. I even think they mutilated side front part of the take and added wooden planks and boards looking pieces which look awesome too.

My idea is to do something kinda like that but using Lizardmen parts. So basically using lizardman army bits and stuff to make Chaos Marines.
However I do not know very much about how good the marine armies are as the only players I have ever played are Plague marines and one player whom liked the Noise marines.

I am thinking of going with Khorne if I do but I am unsure of how well playing a themed army of each of the chaos gods is like. I know Toughness five with feel no pain is great and very usefull in making your guys really hard to kill but at the same time I know nothing about how good lists of the other CM can play.

Yeah I am sure you have all seen that picture before right? So for the experienced marine players could you tell me the advantages and disadvantages of playing the marines themed for each of the chaos gods?
