Does anybody know if a normal human (ie. not a marine) could be infected with the obliterator virus?

The reason that i ask is that I'm making an army of a radical ordo sepulturum (one of the minor ordos which fights chaos borne viruses such as zombies and obliterators) inquisitor, and I'm thinking of doing stormtroopers with a modified form of the oblit virus as counts as Jokaeros. Any thoughts?

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

I think in Storm of Iron a relatively normal human, a Techpriest (not Techmarine) was injected and ended up becoming an Obliterator.

But the idea for your counts as Jokaeros sounds cool regardless.

How do I roll?

I believe it's a possible disease you can catch in Dark Heresy too.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Cheers for the help guys; the plan is to have a bunch of the oblit-troopers and an overseer to stop them being too chaosy.

Already done bound zombies for the retinue as well

Yes, it was established in the supplements for the game Inquisitor. And I've never seen anything contradict that information.

I'm kind of a big deal... people know me...

I've never seen them firsthanded, but old Obliterators do look way smaller than nowadays obliterators, perhaps they'll save you all the converting.

Well in SOI not only was a techpriest infected, but a large Nid ship. They used the virus to control it. So I'm thinking definitely.
