In this episode of Play Unplugged Radio, Enrico Nardini is joined by Jeff Yandora, the owner of Phantom of the Attic Games and Phantom of the Attic Comics in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. Enrico and Jeff discuss painted miniatures and whether a game store that offers free playing space should require gamers to paint their miniatures in order to play there. During their discourse Enrico and Jeff exchange views on:

* the benefits and drawbacks of a painting requirement
* prepainted miniatures
* educating the player base in the hobby
* relating store rules to customers in a positive manner
* Argggghhhh! Side-generaling!

That was pretty interesting, actually.

My personal view is that wargaming is a social hobby, so every player has to take into account the views of the other players.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I'm glad you found it interesting.

I agree, actually it is why I love all kinds a face-to-face gaming. It forces you to interact with other people and their points of view as well as putting your view forward in a diplomatic way.
