Hi there Dakka Dakka,
I've currently got the full 4th company as well as members of the 10th and 1st companies. I have been eyeing up the idea of a full first company for a long time now. I plan on having a Terminator Captain, Terminator Command Squad ( with the new GK terminators), 4 Terminator squads, 2 Terminator Assault Squads, 2 Sternguard Veteran Squads and 2 Vanguard Veteran Squads as well as 2 Venerable Dreadnoughts and a Terminator Chaplain and Librarian. Please tell me if this would be worth collecting and any changes you would make. Thanks

What do you mean with worth collecting?
From a coolness point of view, I would say its worth it (if you like Ultramarines that much of course).
On the other hand, if you dont play apocalypse you wont ever use them all at once .

Changes I would make, would be buying Land Raiders and Rhinos for transportation of the first company .

I don't usually buy transports for my armies I let them slog it out on foot rather than from the confines of an APC. Thanks anyway Iron Angel.

I don't know how many terminators the Ultramarines have, but 60 sounds a bit too much, maybe switch some for sternguard?

I agree according to the back ground almost the entire first company was destroyed fighting of nids, the first company was then reconstructed from tyranic war veterans, most of whom did not have term armour as most suits ha been destroyed. I love the idea for an army and if you ever play planet strike or apocalypse it will be epic to play with. Do you want in the end as you are painting/playing with it, but if your going for fluff based see if you can find anymore background on them, I not goodluck sir

I have what I consider to be an entire company(post Tyranid invasion) comprised of only terminators...its not really fieldable anymore(small bases) but always gets a grin when I show it to people,
