I just finished my first conversion! Dreadnought to Deff Dread! I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Check it out:

(The I make a KUSTOM kustom mega blasta out of the multi-melta that came with the blackreach dread)

Tell me what you think!

Thanks, all! I'm really pleased with it too.
I have to admit that I've never painted Ork walkers before so I'll probably paint my 6 kans first to get my technique down... Promise I'll post pics as soon as I finish.

Thanks

It's floral wire. Great stuff available in different widths from any florist and it's dirt cheap. I drilled out shallow holes where both ends were to go and I bent the wire into shape before gluing it into place with super glue. Easy!
I got 20 gauge (I think), but it's a little thick. Experiment with different widths; again, it's cheap!

Thanks, all!

Any pointers on painting it? I just started painting my first kan yesterday. I'm leaving most of the black undercoat on, painting the metal bits in boltgun and tin bitz and painting armor plates in deff skulls blue, and then I'm going to black wash the whole thing then drybrush boltgun. What do you think?
