I lost the directions for doing this from the local GW manager and so am now looking for a cheap way to get an air brush compressor and hose that would would fit for the spray gun. Any expert help is much appreciated, as Im not looking to buy another air gun. I know the air gun sucks, but it works and I already have it...

Yeah good luck, it's only gonna work for another week or so. You need to have a 1/8in to 1/4 or 1/2in fitting, depending on the fitting that your air compressor hose has.

Buy a real airbrush, it will save you the headache.

PM A user named Mistressofminis. Im fairly certain I remember her mention how to convert those spray guns into a compressor use. Shes pretty much the goto person on airbrushing anyways.

I'm looking at a picture of the spray gun itself and it looks like the fitting on the back for the air hose is removable. I would take the hose, and fitting if possible, to a decent tool supply place and find or ask for a fitting that fits a standard air hose. I have a Craftsman compressor that I'm thinking of using for the same purpose, if I ever get around to it I'll post a how-to.

Anyway just like other peoples said DON'T BUY GW AIRBRUSH: mine has stopped working after few days (using original GW air cans/foundation colors/recommanded mix). For 20 more bucks you can buy a real airbrush

I visited michaels and several other stores and their compressors were minimum 150 FOR THE COMPRESSOR ALONE. Yes its good quality and perfect for experts but with the prices online Im falling in love with Amazon.

I used to have a really nice one by Paasche, about $25 more than the one on Amazon but it didn't come with a compressor, we just attached a dryer to our shop air line to get the oil out and a regulator for the pressure and ran it off of that.

My compressor cost me $80 to kitbash and frankenstein.
A 12v car tyre compressor, small tank, hoses, couplings, fittings and a moisture trap. Uses the standard fittings, too.

'Course, it helped that I had a compressor specialist a block from where I worked at the time.

You can also airbrush squads armor and do the first inking/washing and highlights. I already tested it with the GW gun so cant wait to try it out when it comes!
