Hey guys. For a future Necron army colour scheme, I'm planning on a gold/deep purple look (in b4 pimp Necrons). However, I have a strong feeling that the gauss flayer tube would look very out of place on them, as nothing else on my 'crons are green (the corpse-fire will be neon purple ). How well does spray primer adhere to the tubes? Same as always, or will I run into a few problems?
Before you ask, gonna paint the tubes purple too.

You can always cast your own, of course it would be difficult, but would look amazing!
I have seen a 'cron army with all the fluorescent green parts recast in red. If you find the picture, maybe shoot the guy a PM on how he did it.

I'm a relative noob living in a place in the world where casting materials can be rather tricky to get. Casting may be out of my league for now.

Any good places to get them? Might be tricky if it's online, as the postal service here sucks badly, but I'm game to try.

True, but might clash when you decide to build a monolith.

I'm still wondering if spray primer sticks to trans plastic well.

Dont paint them, use inks and wash it many times with said ink. Maintains it's translucent look, and looks awesome.

And the easiest way to do that is drill a small hole in the end of each rod and use a push-tack to push in there and use as a handle.
You can also use a thing called the interwebs to find stuff. 10 seconds and I found these: http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/pls/pls90251.htm

That would be helpful if I had a drill. Thanks anyway.
And that site doesn't have purple fluorescent rods.

Measure the diameter of the rods then look online for a plastic supplier. get a 3 or 4, 1 foot translucent purple rods made at the same diameter and cut them down to the size needed.
