Hey guys, I am just interested in seeing what all the awesome modelers out there on dakka have done so far with the new Grey Knights!

Obviously I dont expect to see painted models, at best they will still be WIP, but I'd love to see what awesome poses and such you have given your murderers of sororitas!

2 Razorbacks with TL assault cannons (painted)


(razorbacks just need to be weathered hence any plastic spots still showing those areas will be rust/ burn marks from heat or mud etc)

Hey im back and update on my 20 purifiers they are currently at the messy stage half way through details they just need the gold and red layers then the final touch up to conceal errors or clumsiness here they are: oh and btw my phone is very bad at taking pictures so any bright blue is very feint in person and the silver is much more prominent

Cool, could I suggest spraying the helmets with white spray? It gives such an awesome white finish! White is a real bitch to paint.

yeah ive realized after the 4th coat xD but it was worth it and it looks like everyother colour now the only thing with spray that put me off is white in perticular likes to get stuck in the details so i rarely use it xD

plus i wished i had painted the helmets off the bodies the psychic hoods are just making it messy as you can see xD


also another thing im tempted to use something in the 4th picture background as a stand in crowe until i can get the model xD

total completion time for them was about 3 -4 hours for 20 purifiers im really happy how the nemesis force weapons turned out

Awesome. Any tips on painting the metal armour? is a black wash a good idea?

Rather than painting my Grey Knights to be like the Codex I've gone for a bone colour scheme, plus I already have a large (just short of 4k points) of Iron Knights (silver colour scheme) and I didn't want to paint another massive army of Silver. Plus if your painting the normal colour scheme for Grey Knights, go Boltgun metal over a black basecoat, blue wash, watered down Black on most of the armour but not in some spots where you want the blue to show through and then drybrush with Chainmail

i used a watered down blue wash over boltgun then drybrushed chainmail obver the top i meant i get a nice blue hue around the edges and slightly darkens the model rather than badab black but if you want a more shadowed unit go badab black.

I've only got one model so far, and I'm far from a great painter, but I'll add my bit to this thread.

First of my paladin troopers!

here is my dred that i built a while ago. he has a full range of arms except for Autocannons(working on that)

the CSM is the Chaos Rhino crewmen. he has clearly been forcibly parted from his lower portions

and haha that chaos marine on the dread arm is awesome I was thinking of buying a squad of chaos so I could chop them up and put bullet holes in them and make a scenic base for a dreadnought, standing on a pile of dead CSM
