Ok a friend of mine just let me borrow have his ork army to re-paint and touch up, 216 figures so far most are painted but need a touch up as scratches and nicks make em look old. So I am starting on the 90 so unpainted Gretchin, yikes some say but I love painting orcs. I will post a pic as soon as I can on the Painting thread soon and keep everyone informed. Dang this army is bigger than my old Blood Axe Pirate army long ago, lotsa Grots might take me 2-3 weeks just to finish up. This will be are warhammer groups loaner army I guess so I will attempt to make all Orc players proud. Go Green!

Heck, I should mail you my wife's orks to paint(and include a pre-paid self, addressed return box, of course)
She has been nagging me to finish painting them(painted all the models from the assault on Black reach and a Battle force, then we got her a Megaforce and a few extra boxes to finish her army, but I got burned out after batch painting the first 40-some-odd orks).
I guess I will get to them after I paint my 100 or so guardsmen, Valkyrie, and leman Russ Executioner.
then it will be on to the 50 or so Marines.
Then the 37 Space wolves, 6 Razorbacks, and Predator.
Ugh I feel disgusted with my shear amount of unpainted models.

Well, there are techniques to paint 30 boyz in 30 minutes. They won't win you a golden demon, but most space marines will still look worse. That said, I take about 15 minutes to get a single boy done (still assembly-line painting a unit at a time, saves time and paint), Nobz and other less spammed units might take up to 5 hours each. I play blood axes, painting camo takes quite some time

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

The only easy part about painting boys for me now is the spray on base coat. I might just have my whole army in matte black for awhile

I'm painting my second 40K Ork army at the moment (and my fifth 'greenskin' army overall - I have done two O&G armies and a LOTR Mordor Orcs army) but my current project is only 136 models. That is, that's the plan... there's always room for more.

I always field them with pride, because I don't feild 10 or 20 not even 30 but 180 Grotz & most of the time it's 180 Cybogrotz thanks to Doc Grotsnik

Yeah worked pretty well for me. These are maybe the 5th and 6th models I have painted to completion:
