I kinda like sw armies but I always tend to do weird things with them like I do most of my other armies. Also my favorite army the Eldar is something I am trying to work on a bit. So I wanna get some input on how good these might be or what I might be able to do to make them better.

Space wolf:

HQ: Canis with a wolf purchased.

Four troop choices of 15 fenris wolves

Two troop choices of 7 Grey Hunters with a power weapon and melta inside of a rhino with no upgrades.

So that is six troop choices.

Plus I got three Las cannon predators. Full points brings it to 1492.

Eldar:

HQ: Avatar
HQ: Farseer - He has doom and fortune and a singing spear as well as I throw him on a jetbike with all the other upgrades it gets too.

Detached Warlock unit - 10 Warlocks on jetbikes with singing spears and destructor for mobs lol.

Two troops of 12 storm guardians with two fusion guns in a wave serpent that has a TL starcannon and shuriken cannon and all its upgrades.

This list is something I am gonna try out soon and works out to be 1499 points.

Let me get this straight, your entire Eldar army is an avatar, a jetseer council, and 2 units of storm guardians?

Not much of a SW pro here, but the list seems to be lacking some anti-tank... why no long fangs? The wolves seem a little over done with 60...

But yeah, the Eldar list, if that is all that is there, needs work. You can't run a big deathstar unit like the council with such little support or... army. If I was against you, I'd blow your serpents out of the sky in turn 1, eat the storm guardians in 2 and 3, and spend the rest of the game laughing as all objectives are held and the council can only kill one unit per turn, sans multiassault.

Troop jetbikes are MEQs that move 18" while still shooting, they're amazingly survivable for Eldar units. You'll want to drop the avatar, he's too slow and your list doesn't need him. Bring along a nightspinner or some scatter laser warwalkers instead. Overall though, at 1500 points you'll need to cut the council down to ~7 warlocks and use the points to field an actual army.

And don't put spears on every model, they lose a CC attack if you give them a spear. Put a spear on the farseer and call it a day.

OK, see.even though I got bunches of armies most of it was either given or bought really cheap.

As for Long Fangs, They are over done. Every space wolf player I seen players nothing but them and spams the missile launchers. I wanted something with a little more kick.

Its a lot harder to kill a predator than it is with 5 long fangs.
The split fire thing is nice but I really like the las cannon. Much easier for me to punch through a land raider or battle wagon.

After looking at your suggestions I will make some changes.
according to your suggestions and see how that works out.

Those multiple squads of wolves will get chewed up quick. Guard will chomp down on your SW list quickly. I have a friend that usually runs 7 or 8 IG tanks in his 1500pt list, and 2 would be hellhounds. Sorry, but it just doesn't look competitive (If thats what you are going for).

I think even 2 units of wolves would be over doing it. You really need to have another unit in there to claim objectives.

3 Lascannon pred's are okay, but they are really points heavy. You could get other tanks in there for the same price. You could drop the 7 man grey hunter units to 6 man squads, and then take 2 lascannon razorbacks for them. Granted they have less armor, but you could get more big guns out of it.
-----------
As for the Eldar list, I'm not a jetbike kind of guy. I'm more of a 3+ serpent and fire prism kind of guy. But as mentioned before, you need more than just 2 troop units in a 1.5k list.

The storm guardian are okay, but exactly just that. They are not by any means a good unit to keep as a back-bone to your army. If you want to keep with the jetbike theme to your army, I would suggest multiple units of GJB's with warlocks, spear, and destructor.

I'm an Eldar Player so I'm not qualified to talk about space wolves.

Anyway, the first thing that stands out to me is that you said your wave serpent has *all* the bells and whistles. DON'T DO THIS!!! The only upgrade really even worth considering are spirit stones and even then there are hotly contested camps on this. Star Engines seem great on paper, but then again wanting to move faster then 24 inches is just kind of greedy. 24 inches is still faster then most armies can move and activating star engines wastes shooting your gun. Good planning can often ensure that you are within a 24 inch flat out from any objectives. With Wave Serpents you keep em cheap, gun and maybe stones.

You've also picked the starcannon, the worst weapon in our entire codex. It costs a lot of points, and only gives you 2 shots. Sure it ignores saves and fnp, but at the end of the day we play in an edition where units can claim a solid cover save extremely easily. The humble scatter laser gives you double the shots, and against marines in cover will often outperform a star cannon.

Storm Guardians with fusion guns also aren't to hot. Consider that for 80 points you could get 5 fire dragons each with a bs4 melta. Paying 92 points for 2 bs3 meltas just isn't a good idea! When taking stormies deck them out for flamer goodness. Flamers are an excellent weapon on them because they bypass that annoying roll to hit. Then you add in a Warlock with Destructor for even more flamer goodness. You jump em out of their transport and just watch stuff crumble.

On the topic of a jetseer council. embolden and enhace are your most important 2 powers, and you only want a couple of singing spears and destructors. Singing spears make you actively worse in close combat and generally the strenght of the unit is in assualt (multi charging parking lots, and cutting down anything that isn't a terminator or 3+ fnp. So just take 1 or 2 depending on the size of the council (I'd say a ratio of 1:4 spears to no spears) and then 1 on the farseer to take advantage of bs5. Then give yourself 2-3 destructors, but if points are stretched they aren't really useful.

Your farseer has way to many upgrades. Runes of Witnessing isn't needed in a council, as the warlock allows you to re roll any psychic tests anyway.

Jetbikes are also an excellent troop choice to consider. They are fairly cheap to take effectively, give you a solid scoring option, and keep with your jetbike theme.

I'd try an Eldar Council list like this for a 1500 point game.

(178) Farseer- Jetbike, Warding, Spear, Spirit Stones, Fortune, Doom
(335) 7 Warlocks- 1 embolden, 1 enhance, 5 vanilla

(80) 5 Fire Dragons
(100) Wave Serpent- tl shuri cannon

(127) 10 Storm Guardians + Warlock- 2 flamers, destructor
(120) Wave Serpent- tl missile launcher

(129) 3 Guardian Jetbikes + Warlock-cannon, spear, embolden

(129) 3 Guardian Jetbikes + Warlock- cannon, spear, embolden

(150) Fire Prism- Holofields

(150) Fire Prism- Holofields

Total: 1498

You can add more stuff as points allow, but this is a better start to a council themed list, as it gives you more troops, and a better all around army.

I see.. I can learn quite a bit from being here. Well I was gonna post my replacement list but that one seems a lot better!

Here is my improved list and I still need more long fangs to make it happen and two more razorbacks but Other than that I can field it.

HQ: Rune Priest with Runic Armor, Choser of the slain, Melta bombs, Murderous Hurricane and Storm Caller
HQ: Same as above but with Jaws of the World wolf and Tempethest wrath.

Troops 1-2 = 6 Grey Hunters with a power weapon and melta in the Razorback with TL Las and Plasma cannon,

Troops 3-4 same as above but with only 5 grey hunters

Heavy: three sets of 5 Long fangs with Missile Launchers.

this list equals exactly 1500 if I have not forgotten anything.

Akaean's list is sexy for 1500, there is a lot of value there. 3 troops, 4 tanks, nothing on foot, with a council, very nice for 1500. He's got dragons and prisms, the two big check boxes for 1500+ lists to fill.

Not gonna speculate on the SW side, I'll let the sons of Russ sort that out.
