Hey,
I've always loved 54mm models, and want to start up a kill team of them for an Inquismunda models. The issue is that I want to find customizable models. I have found the many ww2 models out there, some of which can be altered and used, but I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas?
My main concerns are finding a model to be a Space Marine, or someway to convert up the existing 54mm space marine model (my green stuff abilities aren't great)
and also was wondering if there are any warmachine models, or other non-54mm models which have characters that wouldn't look out of place besides 54mm models,
thanks!

reposing the 54mm space marine shouldn't be too hard with the right tools and abit of patience, but to be honest I would be wary about converting 54mm models if you have little in the way of GS skills, could end up costing you a fair ammount with nothing to show for it. Sorry I can't offer you any useful advice on the matter.

I'm not awful with greenstuff, and I was more thinking of adding little things, or using other gw parts around the model. I would like to fool around with rearranging arms and such. It is mostly an experiment in the hopes it will improve my modelling abilities.
still I would like to find other models to use as a base rather than just the GW models, that way i can still have somewhat of an interesting warband. so that's why im looking for other 54mm models. Automatically Appended Next Post: thanks thou!

For a change, the =I= space marine is actually in scale with the other models (he's an absolute beast - even the daemon prince model is smaller).
For regular humanoids, there are a variety of 54mm model manufacturers out there.
To make a SM, you either hunt down Artemis, or practice with GS, as he is going to be around 50% taller and broader.

huh, thanks. I may just try to get artemis and work with that.
I was thinking of using rat orges as mutants, do you think they are big enough to look pretty close to a regular human character.
thanks!
