Curious as to how it looks in the overhead or under the seat.

No pic, but my standard Sabol Army transport fits neatly into the overhead on most planes. I put it in bottom-first, pockets-up, to efficiently use space and prevent stuff from falling out into the bin. Since I over-fill the front pockets, it is usually a snug fit on top. It would be a tighter fit under the seat, but my Platoon fits fine there, with space for one leg at a time to stretch out beside it, so I alternate.
