Subject: BA Dante can hit and run once he joins squad in combat?

I have 2 questions about this rule for hit and run: 1. Does he get +1 attack for charging, or to join the unit he loses the +1 attack and still partakes in combat 2. If so, it says in the BRB hit and run is at the end of the assault phase. Can this be either players assault phase or only yours?

I moved so starting from scratch. These were the armies I had, rebuilding my Chaos. |

1) If you charge you gain +1 attack, unless the enemy has Defensive Grenades (or you have special rule)
2) YOu can hit and run at the end of any assault phase
As an aside, your 1) is quite confusing - are you saying Dante is assaulting and "Joining" a unit already in close combat? If so then Dante is *not* a member of the BA unit already in combat - he can only join units in the movement phase

Im asking if at the end of the movement phase I move him within 2" of the unit locked in combat and charge with him during assault.

That makes a little more sense.
The answer is: you cannot join a unit that is already locked in combat. So you would charge in as a seperate unit, and your H&R would mean you would leave the unit (if you chose) by yourself.

No worries.
You generally want him to H&R with a unit in the opponents assault phase, meaning you can shoot and assult back in (or to another unit, if you need to) gaining you assault bonuses such as I, S and A again. Can be quite a deadly trick - allows you to avoid shooting in their turn, and if you dont quite kill off the unit you can break away from combat (most of the time....) allowing you to tactically redeploy if you need. Very useful in objcetive games.
My other half runs Dante, and was the only one (that Im aware of) not to run mephy out of 15 BA players up at the UK Indy GT the other week!
