Well, a few of my friends and I have deiced to pick up new Warmachiene/Hoards factions. We are building the armies over a 3-4 month period (each month we up the points total starting with 15, 25, 35 and then perhaps 50).

I figured I would make a thread to help me stay on task (we have play with painted models or we cannot use them).

Here is the only model I currently have done: Ravyn, Eternal Light.

Here are a bunch of my current projects. All of them are WIP's, Narn should be done by Wednesday, rest I'm not sure about.

They look good, haven't seen brown retribution before.

Are your myrmidons going to be painted in same green as the Ravyn's armor?

Huh, the armor does look green.

Its actually gun corps brown, but yes. my Myrmidons will be the same color.

Speaking of Myrmidons here is my WIP Phoenix (Manticore and Discordia coming soon).

Ok, nice trick of light in that pic, the myrmidon looks khaki though. That color fits the figs well, they look a bit more natural than high fantasy and I like it.

Small update including more Myrmidons. I have to get the Discordia and Phoenix done by next Tuesday (the 13th).

Here is the Discordia. I'm not sure if I like the pose or not, going to be a pain to break apart, but It may grow on me still.


I started working on filling in the areas for the "glow" on the Maticore and Phoenix.


Finally I have 2 wreck markers: Phoenix and Manticure. I plan to order the bits for the Discordia so I don't have to buy the entire upgrade kit again (although with shipping it may be cheaper).

Managed to get the Phoenix finished, only the Discordia left for 15 points.

They look like animated shaped rocks, not a bad thing though!

You know I never thought of them as that. The retribution stuff is very different looking from the rest of the Warmachiene line. Its one of the reasons I started them.

Small update. I nearly have my Discordia done, just have to do the final coat of brown and some highlighting. Here are two WIP shots.

I finished the Discordia. Next thing on my plate is Destors, but I probably won't get around to them till after Spring Break. I'll try to get a solo done before I leave.

Anyway here is the finished Discordia.

Nice paint job, the base brings good contrast to the jack. I would add some yellow to the glowing runes, but otherwise solid painting.
