I'm going to fight against a friend in a tournament, and he always use the following list:

- 2x Leman Russ (1 could be Vanquisher) with Lascannon and side Multi-Melta
- 3x Sentinels with Lascannon
- 3x Heavy Troops with Lascannon
- 20-30 Guardsmen with Meltagun
- Standard Commander as HQ

His tactic is always the same: deploying his forces into ruins and waiting for me to attack, in dozens of matches he always played on defensive. The table is 48" wide, so getting in range won't be a problem.

What will be a perfect Blood Angels 1000 points list to use against him? Every time i used a different tactic, and i usually won, but since this time we are going to play a tournament (my first one btw), so i need to be 100% sure.

I need a little clarification. I'm assuming 3x Heavy Troops with Lascannon is 3 Lascannon Heavy Weapon Teams. Are the 20-30 Guardsmen with Meltaguns all part of an Infantry Platoon, or are they individual Veteran Squads? I'm going to assume they are Vets, as the list is illegal otherwise, plus you haven't listed any Platoon Command Squads. Also, is the Standard Commander a Lord Commissar, or a Company Command Squad?

Anyway, assuming the list is 2 Leman Russ, 3 Sentinels with Lascannons, 3 Lascannon HWT, 2 or 3 Veteran Squads with 3 Meltaguns each, and a CCS, how about this:

HQ: Librarian with Sanguine Shield and Blood Lance or Unleash Rage 100
EL: 1 Sanguinary Priest 50
TR: 5 Assault Marines w/ Las/Plas Razorback, Flamer 160
TR: 5 Assault Marines w/ Las/Plas Razorback, Flamer 160
TR: 5 Assault Marines w/ Las/Plas Razorback, Flamer 160
FA: Landspeeder with MM and HF 70
HS: Predator w/ Heavy Bolter Sponsons 100
HS: Predator w/ Heavy Bolter Sponsons 100
HS: Predator w/ Heavy Bolter Sponsons 100

Total: 1000

I see the main threats as the Lascannons. The Predators should be able to wipe out the HWTs in 1 round of shooting, as you expect about 8 unsaved wounds after cover, which is more than enough. The Razorbacks can go after the Sentinels, and will probably get 1 penetration through cover. So, with first turn, over half of his long range anti-tank is down, and you then have the mobility to stay away from everything else. The Landspeeder can suicide against the Leman Russes, or Flamer the crap out of something depending on how things go. If you don't get first turn, hide, and use your mobility to take him on in pieces. Shield will help against return fire. Once his long range anti-tank is down, you win, since the rest of his army is slow.

Your friend's list is not very good, to be honest. Vets need a Chimera, and taking a Vanquisher is just plain stupid with BS 3 and all the 4+ cover vehicles have access to these days.

For more of an all-comers list, I'd drop the Speeder or the Priest to get meltaguns and Power Fists into some of the Razorback Squads, and maybe consider switching Las/Plas for TL-Assault Cannon.
