Yeah, the showcase forum would probably be best. However, if you're ever unsure I think 40K General Discussion is a safe bet.

i'd say the showcase subforum would be the wrong place. the subtitle for the forum specifically says "Share pictures of your finished models for feedback and praise (painted miniatures only please)." the regular painting/modelling forum, 40k discussions, and posting it to the gallery all work though.
