Lelith's rule, 'A League Apart' says that for every point her weapon skill is better than her opponents', she gains an attack. eg if Leliths charges a unit of Fire Warriors, (WS 2), she gets 4 basic attacks, 2 for charging and having an extra close combat weapon, and 7 for the difference between her WS 9 and the FWs' WS 2. (total 13 attacks)
Supposing Lelith charges an Avatar, WS 10, does she then lose an attack? as her weapon skill is one lower than her opponents, so in effect she gains -1 attack?

No as her rule doesn't state that, she just gets her normal amount of attacks. (not that it'll help in that mach up as she's only Strength 3)

EDIT: clarification: if her rule had said that she loses an attack against a foe with a higher WS she would, but it does not.

From memory they FAQ'd it. She only gets bonus attacks when her WS is higher, no negatives if her WS is lower.

Agreed. She'd suffer no negative attack modifiers. Attacking an Avatar has made life hard enough....

From the FAQ:

Page 49 – Lelith Hesperax, A League Apart
Change the first sentence to “If Lelithʼs Weapon Skill is
higher than that of all enemy models she is in base
contact with, she gets a number of bonus Attacks equal to
the difference between her Weapon Skill and the highest
Weapon Skill from amongst those enemies.”

I suggest you don't believe anything posted by thedarkavenger unless confirmed by other regular posters here at Dakka. He has shown he is incapable of basic English comprehension.

I usually find it somewhat embarrassing to ask a question here, only to find it it is answered in the FAQ.

It always reminds me of how dumb I was to pose the question.
I mean, its not like the concept of FAQs is foreign in this day and age.

I usually facepalms and promises myself to check the FAQs first next time an issue pops up.
