My most wanted game of the year now:
http://anno.uk.ubi.com/anno-2070/

The next in the ANNO series of games has been announced. I've been a big fan of the series for the last few games and am very excited about this one that claims larger cities are possible and less historical background to restrict things

For those who have not played any of the anno games, they are basically a cross between a city builder, a commodity trading game (naval), some basic naval and land combat and an exploration game. It is realtime explore, expand, exploit, exterminate type game. A bit like settlers meets simcity meets railroad tycoon.

In ANNO 1404 venice, I've got a crazy setup, with tens of thousands of envoys and noblemen being fed from a massive network. I've found the best way to play is to have one island dedicated to being the central trading point of the world (usually in the middle of the map), then building loads of warehouses, processing plants and docks there. Doing this makes it much easier to manage overflowing storage, reduces the number of ships required and allows production focussed islands to use the various production benefits that certain items provide, allowing there to be just one small island for each major good.

Anyone else looking forward to this one?
