So why doesn't GW sell a whole bunch of the Dark Eldar stuff? Voidraven bombers, grotesques, wracks, those bird-like flying things (I forget the name)---if I wanna include those in my army, do I pretty much have to make them up myself and convert from other models?

Kill the mutant, burn the heretic, purge the unclean!!!!

There are just three simple rules to follow: If I charge, follow me. If I retreat, kill me. If I die, avenge me.

"A Templar Knight is truly a fearless knight and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armor of faith, just as his body is protected by armor of steel. He is thus doubly armed and need fear neither daemons nor men."

I believe several of those items with be released soon by GW. But the reason is is that they have to pay vast sums to tool+cast+package ect. a new mini, if that mini is going to be hardly used in an army, a niche in a niche sort of, then GW wont make it because they would likely make a loss.

Hopefully. Grotesques would be pretty sweet. How would I play those now since there are no models for them?

Because they can only produce so much plastic at one time. Every kit they produce means one kit of another kind that has to wait. They hit the critical stuff to make an army first and the rest will come out in periodic releases.

Not wanting to sound sarcastic or anything but Welcome to the Hobby.

In all seriousness though conversions have been the basis of the hobby ever since it's inception. It's worse now though, as they're no longer actively promoting it like before. I still remember a time where they actually gave you advice like using dollar store plastic plants for terrain. Now they just point you to the expensive webstore stuff.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

The good news is, rumours suggest that Scourges, Venoms, Void ravens, Razorwing Jetfighters and other delectables will be hitting in June.

They've really been very good to DE considering the treatment of the Tyranids, so I wouln't complain.

We must go deeper.

Lol no, but in all seriousness, to already have all of this by the launch date GW would've needed more time and money to give to the modelling teams (aka just Diaz + Goodwin)
