I am building/painting a sanguinary priest in terminator armor for my BA's at the moment and am conflicted by the codex rules for these entry's. The codex makes it seem that if you upgrade to a term priest that basically they lose any ability to shoot (no mention of a storm bolter coming with the package like the chaplain upgrade to term does). My question is does a term priest have a storm bolter and if not can he be given one for additional points (because the codex doesnt mention that you can do that either)? Thanks.

Yep, that is correct. You replace everything with Blood Chalice and power sword only, with no way of getting any other guns. Although he's generally better without terminator armour.

If you're thinking of having a Sang Priest join a Terminator unit that embarks in a Land Raider, it's more effective to leave that priest in the raider when the squad gets out. He still emits a 6" FNP aura, but it's from the hull of the land raider so covers a larger area, and he's much harder to kill.

If he is better w/o term armor, then its a good thing I put him in term armor! Crap! I wanted him to go along with my term assault sqd. I already have a few term priest anyway and wanted to make a few variations of them (term and a JP version).

I made my chalice from putty, but I saw an excellent tutorial on here recently making one from bits of a flamer fuel canister and a meltabomb

It is exactly true. Page 67 under transports, it states any time you need to measure range to / from an embarked unit, you measure to the hull.

I think im gonna go with the Grail Objective piece from Space Hulk, despite my thinking that it scale seems a little big. The only problem is that I only see it being sold from the UK so it will most likely take a little while to get here. Oh, and also I dont want to pay 7$ for shipping just for a little grail so now im forced to buy some additional BA terminators from the Space Hulk boxed set as well

It's completely true, very annoying with how they go back and forth on vehicles and stuff inside them imo (GW that is)

Nos has the page listed above

I was also informed of this by another player, though I never referenced the rulebook for confirmation. Almost makes a terminator priest unecessary!

Depends upon your play style, yes there are tactical advantages to holding your priest back safe and sound in the land raider but (fun fluff) no Sang Priest of mine is going to cower in the rear!
