I was wondering about the assault range of the jetbikes. I did not see any numbers for jetbikes/bikes assault range. I know that the jump infantry only have 6'' of assault range, but that is because they run the last part. So do the bike/jetbikes (deff koptas, I play orkz) has 12'' of assault range or 6''.

I thought the assault range was the same as the maximum walking distance of a unit except said otherwise, but that leaded to an argument during my last game and I could not find the rule to prove/counter my point (if I'm right).

it is 6". It does not state it like that, it says they are the same as infantry. It is on Page 52 in the BRB in the highlighted box.

seriously, that is a dumb rule since bikes usually goes in at maximum speed when assaulting (in the lore)

If you go at maximum speed by the RULES then you can't assault.

Fluff doesn't determine rules.

6" charge.

Though you could consider the 12" move before the 6" assault as being part of the assualt move for fluff purposes.

As can calvary, but they can only move 6 inches in the first place.
