This here is my 2500 Bretonnia list. Nothing to win a tournament with but I want to be competitive. I've only played once with this list now in 8th and actually scored out a victory vs Warriors of Chaos. I've had my hand at some smaller point games and done about 50/50. Let me know what you think.

Fairly balanced with some potent range. I've had amazing luck so far with shooting and I'm never one to trust at all in shooting in WFB (I still don't). Something told me though to field them and they've done quite well. The Grail Knight unit gets hammered hard with magic and shooting but Life keeps them chugging along. Basically all my buff spells go to the Grail Knights then maybe to the pilgrims.

The Lord takes it to the face in challenges with his low initiative but he can bring a little pain too with those reroll to hits. wounds, and enemy successful armor saves. While this book is totally meant for 7th Ed., I'm having a lot of fun thus far with the army.

I think the Lord is pretty solid. I personally think the Sword is a great choice, when you can fit the points in.

I am a little hesitant to say the 4+ Ward on the Prophetess is necessary, what with the Blessing and all, but if she's getting shot with a lot of low-S bowfire, I suppose it's worth it.

Where do the characters go, by the way? Your BSB seems like he's going to get beaten up and down before he can do much, with no magical items.

Have the Pilgrims worked well for you? They seem horrendously overpriced for what they do now. If you want a Steadfast anvil, I'd consider Men-at-Arms or more Bowmen. The latter will kill even less in CC, but they have virtually the same armour save and can lay down some decent volley fire.

One thing I've heard a lot of is that Grail Knights are overpriced and that Questing Knights are amazing. I have yet to see much of this myself, but I can understand where S5 every round is useful.

A final note: have you ever considered Lore of Beasts? I'm starting to warm up to with Brettonians; it helps them do more killing (which they need help with against those big blocks, especially on turns other than the charge), the signature spell is actually useful, and the buffs to your characters fit right in with the "you must accept challenges" stuff.
Then again, Dwellers is really nice.

Overall though, I like it.
