The moment I saw these guys I though that they'd be great to convert into wraiths (espescially if they don't get new models in the inevitable necron 5th ed reboot), whilst they may be a bit big for those who like to keep models at certain sizes I'm sure that if you were to shorten the tail and give the stalkers a more appropriate head, that they'd easily slip into the role of a wraith. anyone else get this idea, or am I just a crazy dreamer

I love that idea but I strongly presume that new models will be brought out for wraiths as they are so popular. I might be aquiring some necron models soon ansd if no wraith models come out on the releaseof the codex I will definately convert these.

I think it's a great idea...but wrong scale.

Those things are on very large bases. I'd estimate they are chariot bases - 50mmx100mm if I recall correctly.

Wraiths go on 40mm rounds. That's a HUGE size difference.

Of course, who knows what kinds of crazy things will be coming out in the new Necron book - there is a good chance they'll be something else those would be perfect for!

Good idea. Can't wait to see how the new Tomb King models can be converted over to Necron.

Eastern Frontier Exploratores
224th Astra Legion (main army)
628th Praetorian Guard Cohort (wife's army)
827th Auxilia Cohort (ad mech fun)
825th Foderati Cohort (in the beginning army)
1212th Foederati Cohort - Jokaero (cause I like apes with guns)

Blue Orphen's right, however I think it should be relatively easy to bend those tail bits to fit on a 40mm base.

As part of a full TK-themed Necron army, it could look very cool. But _all_ the models would need to be a subtle mix of bits from both model ranges, otherwise some would look too jarringly different.

I love this idea, especially because when I first saw those models I immediately thought NECRONS!

They have the same body type. The stalkers are definitely some of my favorite GW models. Do it!

but like many have said, with Necrons right around the corner, there may be something even more appropriate to convert these into, other than wraiths.

That isn't much of a conversion, I would replace the chest pieces with those of a destroyer with the head and arms of a warrior with the weapon in the warriors hands. And it woulden't be hard to remove a middle section of the tail to shorten it. Personally I'd remove some of the more TK-esque pieces like the back spines and the section at the end of the tail. You could still have more ornate looking necrons without having them look too TK

Ehh... Wraiths already have a good model. This does not look like them so much.

Are you serious? Skeletal fast moving creatures with serpentine bodies, how can they not look like them?
