Before 6th edition?
Anyone have any theories on when, what, and how?

They just (read: in the not to far away past) released the kans and dreadnaughts. The possibility is that there will be a codex, but with little to no new models. Also, there are lists of what will be released when in the News and Rumor section on dakka. Orks aren't very high on that list, they aren't on the list at all.

Shame though, always found the 'new' ork codex a bit too shooty for my likes. But as long as Matt Ward doesn't decide to make one, I'm a happy man.

I really wouldn't expect it. The current book still works pretty well and the model range is very new, for Xenos.

No takers on the chance we'll see new wartrakks, and buggies?
Maybe a Wazdakka?

Either would be nice in my books as would a newer and crazier Codex. Despite my want for it though, I can definitely see that there are other armies out there who are running on older books than the Orks.

Give those armies an update, we'll still be painting green when the next Ork book is ready.

- Order of the Sacred Rose - 2000 points

Personally I'm kinda glad that some vehicles were left out of the model lineup. Ork vehicles should be diverse, people shouldnt be arguing about modelling for advantage when it comes to orks.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Yeah, I'm currently kit bashing myself 6 wartrakks, a scratch built Wazdakka (Inspired by Uberdark and Sukigod) so it's not a big deal, but I was curious if anyone thought that they might see a tiny bit more love before 6th.

I agree that other armies need more attention.

But I'm a greedy Ork.

If I had to hazard a guess, 2013 at the earliest unless GW goes into overdrive and starts pumping out a 40k codex every other month.

A fun new Ork unit would be a Madboy, Orks so crazy even most Orks think they're unstable. Hopefully GW introduces a model for them at one point.

You mean a fun old model! They used to have Madboyz back in the day

There hasn't been any rumor of a new Ork codex, and Orks still have one of the best available. Don't expect any anytime soon.
