Hey guys,

I've heard mixed results from discouraging to 100% satisfied from using green stuff as an adhesive. I'll say personally I've not had fantastic results, but I've only used it on one model with thin, high leverage joints (Nightbringer model). Now I'm mounting a 4th-ed pewter Eldar Heavy Weapons Platform onto it's base and to give it a wider base for superglue to stick to, I used a GS application on the bottom of the model's underside with a pin running between it and a stand jutting above the base made out of sprue. Another sprue is closer towards the frontside of the model to keep it from getting top-heavy, where pinning may prove more difficult without marring the model.

So the GS will be dry by this time tomorrow, and I'm wondering, should I pry it's not-so-good adhesiveness off and apply superglue to the form in the GS created by the sprue stand, or will the GS be sufficent and not to "stress test" it to the point of breaking to apply unneeded superglue?

Superglue, from my experience.

Superglue on dry gs should be fine, I've used it to give a greater contact point before.

Putty is always filler, never a joiner. Buy some super glue and zip kicker and use that to glue your metal/resin models together.
