Hi Dakkites, i got this crazy ideia/project: build and paint, just for fun, a deathwatch terminator squad. Nine vetarans who together are invencible.
Each one of them would be originaly from one of the first foundation chapters, and i want them to be someway iconical on their look...

I mean, for example: the Sargeant will be a Ultramarine, using a "tipical" terminator armor, with "tipical" badges, certificates and seals, with a power sword and a storm bolter.

What i need is some tips... I pretty know things about space wolves and salamander iconography and fighting style (expect axes and hammers here). And i could imagine some things about Blood Angels (Glaive encarmine?), Imperial Fists (Cyclone Missle Launcher and Power Fist), Iron Hands (Servo Arms, Thunder Hammer), Dark Angels ("power mace", the apothecary ^^). Im really confused about Whte Scars and Ravens Guard (Lightning claws here, only).

So, any advices?

maybe the White Scar could have a spear/halberd, representing their "riderhood" and how they fought from bikes. raven guard should definently be the LC

Spear sounds like a cool idea, maybe a power sword like a bigger scimitar looking blade if not?

I agree with LC on Ravens.

I like the scimitar idea to; it fits with their Mongolian theme.

Or better yet, a scimitar on a pole! a scimispear

I would give the white scar a polearm. The new Grey Knight Terminator halberd would work well.

Raven Guard would be lightning claws.

There is any termie helmet anywhere, who resemble the corvus pattern helmet?

Wolves you can use one of their Terminators.

For Blood Angels, if you could get a Space HulK model, that'd be ideal.

Salamanders really wants to be a Thunder Hammer model with a scaled cloak of sorts - or a flamer.

Imperial Fists should really have a Power Fist and, I think, no helmet.

Raven Guard, definitely Lightning Claws. It's easy enough to shave a normal Terminator head down to the Grey Knight style and then, if you want, bulk out and sand down to make a Corvus Pattern Helm.

Iron Hands might go well with the Thunder Hammer and bionic bits.

White Scars you could give a polearm, as mentioned.

Dark Angels you can use a Deathwing pad or give it a tabard.

Ultramarines you could give lots of Omega sigils and purity seals.

I love the idea of this project. Now I want to steal it!

here is the loadout i can think of
Wolves uses their axe+storm bolter/Shield combo
Blood angels would either be a sword and shield or stormbolter
Salamander should carry thungder hammer and heavy flamer
Imperial fist should be the heavy weapon guy, cyclone missile, a power fist and storm bolter/Shield
RavenGuard is LC
Iron hands... techmarine terminator?
Whitescars, go with polearm/scimitar
Deathwing, someone has to carry that autocannon to complete the heavy weapon, with tabard and possibly banner
Ultramarine is Ultramarine orthodox armor , maybe with roman pattern here and there and omega symbol

Well, my ideias until now are those:

Ultramarines: the sarge of the squad. Former commander, great leader, good fighter. Just the regular armor, with roman details and some extra omega and purity seal. Im thinking about "tune" the Black Reach termie sarge for this...

Space Wolves: Close Combat specialist. Power/Frost Axe and Storm Shield. Probably using the "wolf pelt cape" from the wolf termies box...

Blood Angels: The barbarian of the team . Power Sword or Glaive Encarmine with some secondary weapons, i dont think the storm shield fits here, as Blood Angels are always more offensive than defensive. Im thinking about a Melta-Gun, in a type of "inferus pistol terminator style". The sword will probably come from the new GK termies, and extra bits from the death company or sanguinary guard...

Dark Angels: to keep a "D&D parody" on the team, this one is the Apothecary. Using a mace, and robes

Iron Hands: this will give me a lot of fun work Right now i think about terminator techmarine with lots of "replaced" parts. Iron hands are meant to like vehicles and heavy weaponry right? What about an auto-cannon in this one?

Imperial Fists: Cyclone Missile Launcher, Assault Cannon and Power Fist. I really dont know how to improve the feeling, like what badges and icons to add...

Raven Guard: The stealth, fast, ninja terminator , I dont know how to give him this look yet... Lightning Claws for sure, As in Imperial fists, i dont know what extra bits to add, like badges and icons...

White Scars: The other fast guy, not exactly a ninja in this case... I liked the ideia of the spear. as in Raven Guard and Imperial Fists, badges and icons are a mistery for me here (except for the horse pelts). There is any plastic kit with oriental faces? It would be nice to give him stretched eyes and litle beard

Salamanders: I must admit i like the look of Thunder Hammer+Storm Shield in here, but flamers are the soul of the chapter and so, im divided... At least in icons i know what to do: lizard skins and flames.

Well, this will be slow guys, i must get the money, the models and the time, but i will end it one day, and when the day comes, you all will see pics. And if anyone do something like this, please, give us some pics...

Hey people, im sry for the delay on the start of the work, i got some unprogramed money problem, and it is very hard to find money for this guys right now. Aditionally, GW had cut their sellings to my country, Im hoping to find something usefull on ebay, and trading bitz, and stuff.

I felt compeled to give you some report, after so much help you all offered. Im delayed by the oldest enemy of this hobby, but i will not give up right now
