1.Space Marines Loose an Assault. With Combat Tactics they intentionally fail there moral and fall back. They win the initiative test and fall back. End result they break from combat no Sweeping advance.
2.SM Lose again intentionally fail Moral and Fall Back. Fail the initative test and immediatly regroup as OP4 attempts to Sweeping advance . End result No Fall Back, No Sweeping advance.
3. NON Space Marine unit loses assault, Fails, Falls Back. Is Below 50% st. Fails Initative test. End result Unit Destroyed

We've been going over the rules and need outside confermation. Is this how its done? If not could anyone offer clarification.

I guess on a side note. I don't find any rules about choosing to pass/fail moral tests due to Combat Tactics for Dark Angels. Combat Squads yes, Tactics no?

1. Marines lose combat.
2. Marine player chooses to fail.
3. Initiative roll-off.
3a. Marine player wins, runs 2d6.
3b. Enemy wins, ATSKNF kicks in and the Marines take No Retreat! wounds.
4. Next Marine movement phase, if no enemy is within 6" AND if squad is in coherency, they automatically rally. Otherwise they fall back an additional 2d6.

For the non-SM, non-Fearless unit, you don't have to be below 50% to be wiped out. You could lose combat by 1, be above 50%, and get wiped.

Also, Combat Tactics is a Space Marine codex only rule. No other Space Marine variants have it.

#1 is correct, but it should read:
Space Marines Loose an Assault. With Combat Tactics they intentionally fail their morale and fall back, then they [Take a Sweeping advance initiative test, and] win the initiative test and fall back. End result they break from combat no Sweeping advance. [and fall back 2d6 inches]

#2 should read:
SM Lose again intentionally fail Morale and fall back, Fail the initative test and immediatly regroup as OP4 attempts to Sweeping advance [they are caught by SA at this point and take no retreat wounds]. End result No Fall Back, No Sweeping advance [but they go by the No Retreat rule because of ATSKNF, and suffer a wound for each point they lost the combat by as outlined on P.44]

#3 should read:
NON Space Marine unit loses assault, Fails, Falls Back. Is Below 50% st. Fails Initative test[and is caught by SA and destroyed]. End result Unit Destroyed.

IIRC Ultramarines and successor chapters are the only ones with combat tactics, I know BA do not get that rule.
