I checked to make sure there were no topics in here about this. I was hoping to find the OOP Grey Knight models and saw Amazon.com is selling Grey Knight models and the codex at a surprising discount. You can get the codex for $24, a dread knight for $44, terminators for $40, and grey knight strike squads for $26.50. So in case you don't have all of your Grey Knight crack you can pick up a little more here.
My bad. Upon further inspection it is a company called War Game Models that is providing the stock. Hmmm. Not sure how they get around the whole GW thing. Oh well, I'm buying stuff.

Amazon wouldn't have been a place I would look for GW stuff so thanks very much for the news, hopefully more people will buy from non GW stores so GW will be forced to lower their prices. Unfortunately the prices are actually more on the UK amazon site, maybe get them shipped over here

Amazon carries Warhammer through some of its "Partners" and has done so for quite some time. Many of those partners offers discounts, free shipping on some items, etc. Prices and shipping can vary widely and change frequently on some items. Amazon tried carrying Warhammer years ago directly, but that ended, if I recall around the time GW cracked down on shopping carts with loads of online seller rules in 2003. I purchased some Ork Warbikes from an Amazon partner last year at a very good price. I also have top reviews on Amazon for several GW products.

Darn that currency adjustment thing. Its what limits my Forge World orders to once a year. Thanks for the clarification.

I get tons of 40k stuff - nearly all of it now, really - from Amazon as I have a prime membership and can pretty much always get it at 20% off. There are plenty of third party sellers on there too, but Amazon itself carries lots of 40k stuff directly ("fulfilled by" is not functionally different). So far as the carrying direct thing with the no picture policy; I doubt Amazon even knows it exists, and would laugh if they knew it did. It's wildly unenforceable, virtually certain to fail in court if challenged, and is strictly a tool to unfairly bludgeon small independent stores with. But I digress; Amazon is a great source for 40k stuff. Occasionally you see things for 35% off or so.

I believe if you look at Amazon again, as I stated earlier, ALL of the Warhammer product on there is sold by "partners". It's been years since Amazon sold it directly. That includes the Grey Knights items someone started this thread about. Not that it's an issue, but it usually means the items are not eligible for Free Super-Saver Shipping unless the Partner Seller has decided to offer it on specific items. However, Amazon does carry Black Library items and offer Free Super-Saver Shipping on those items. All of the books priced above the mass market paperbacks like the $11.99 and $15.00 books are nicely discounted. That includes expensive hard cover books like Collected Visions. The higher the price and mark-up the better the discount. I got Collected Visions for $31.50 instead of $50.

I managed to get some cheap Chaos Terminators, half price IIRC, from Amazon.
What's this whole business with the shopping cart for online traders then? I'm sure I've ordered GW models from other websites that have basket/cart systems.
Just want some clarity.

If I recall it involved having images of GW property without GW permission. GW had the brainfart that if they made it too hard for other online stores to sell GW stuff then all the online sales would automatically go to GW's website thus more money for GW

The jist of it is that US online retailers cannot have a shopping cart to expedite the sale of GW products online.
They can, however, still sell those products but they basically have to take the orders like any mail-order service would(over the phone or via email).
It was an attempt to curtail the absurd amount of discounters cropping up(many of whom didn't actually sell anything, and just got in on a scamming opportunity) and to try to shift sales back to brick & mortar retailers that GW supported via events support, etc.

You may wind up paying tax if you buy from Amazon.com whereas you might not from another source. The lowest base price might not always be the best deal once shipping and taxes are included.

This has been awesome for me the last few months. My company gives $250 amazon gift cards, and I've been able to fill in many gaps. They typically have good deals on the battleforce boxes.
