Was just watching CNN interview Donald Trump. He did not confirm that he was going to run, but stated that "I am very excited to make this decision" and often said "if and when I decided to run" before answering questions.
What do you think? If he ran today he'd have my vote. Obviously his business acumen is unmatched, he has plenty of charisma, and him and I see eye to eye on foreign policy.
His birth certificate wasn't official state documents, only a hospital issued one, his Mother was from scotland... and his plane is registered to another country...
I don't think he is a natural born citizen
Seriously... do you all want to be wearing kilts and listening to bag pipes when he is elected?

We don't currently have a superstar president. Obama was basically unknown before the presidential debate, despite being a senator.

Wow, so you guys think Trump is a successful businessman?
Why?
He came from a great deal of wealth. Invested it. Lost it. Asked his family for help. Invested it. Lost it again. He's been a perpetual failure and his only saving grace is that he has a family that owns a great many rent controlled buildings in NYC and are able to bail him out.
So, no, he's not a success. He's never even created, invented, or done anything of note. The most he has accomplished is successfully marketed himself and is a sociopathic megalomaniac.
Not that I'm ever surprised by poor people in America to fawn over aristocratic wealth like some pitiful serf.
I don't think anyone would seriously vote for him. I know I wouldn't.

Then we'll have all those unions busted, sell more weapons to people abroad who will then attack us 20 years later, and implement even more free market reforms to hurt the working class! It's going to be great!
Donald Trump is dodgy even by the standards of dodgy politicians.
Careful what you ask for. Trump is only interested in himself and will feth over anyone to do it. Ask anyone near one of his developments whether in Florida, New York or Scotland. Two types of people are in range of Trump, those he bought and those who hate him.
Trumps only real skill is getting people to invest in his projects heavily so that they do as he asks and back him up when he uses the total level of investment (his and theirs) as a battering ram to get what he wants from the local authorities.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Now come on, anyone could write a line like that about any President. They are all a bunch of #@!* ups.

Why would you want to make Bill the Cat less intelligent?

Well that's unfortunate for the cat.

I reckon Mr.Trump runs it'll be for the publicity and the tax write offs only. It'd be a sideshow to keep people from looking at issues that really need attention.
There are people in this thread talking seriously about Trump as president. This is sad.
“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama's birthplace that he's sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.
That's according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover "one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond."
"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.
Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, "Absolutely."
The business mogul, who in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll is tied for second place among potential presidential candidates, also suggested the president is involved in an ongoing cover-up over the matter.
"He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren't an issue, why wouldn't he just solve it?" he said. "I wish he would because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts."
According to a recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll, 72 percent of Americans say that the president was definitely or probably born in the U.S., with one in four saying that he was definitely or probably born outside the country. But the survey indicates a partisan divide, with 43 percent of Republicans but only 11 percent of Democrats saying that Obama was definitely or probably born outside the U.S.
In 2008, the Obama campaign produced a certification of live birth that reports his birthplace as Honolulu, Hawaii – a document the Hawaii government says is official evidence of his birth in the state. Among other evidence of Obama's birth there is the fact the hospital where he was born took out ads in two Hawaiian newspapers in 1961 announcing the birth, while current Gov. Neil Abercrombie says he knew Obama's family and remembers his birth.
In the broad interview, Trump also insisted he's more serious than ever about mounting a presidential bid, but said he can't make a final decision until this season of "Celebrity Apprentice" wraps up.
"I hate to say it. I have the No. 1 show on NBC. Is that the correct statement? The "Celebrity Apprentice" is doing great," said Trump. "You're not allowed to have a show on and be a candidate. It's a great show and it's got phenomenal ratings, and until that show is over I can't declare, otherwise NBC would have to take the show off the air and that would be very unfair."
There are many more qualified candidates than Donald Trump. I don't see him making it to the final race. If he does... Then I admit there may be a strong chance he could win. I don't think he'd make it that far though.
M. Knight Shamalyanana and Trump for president/Vice President. That way when it looks like the economy is going down the tubes there's some kind of refreshing reason for it.
Sadly,if he did run there is a chance he'd win...I know many people may say that will never happen ....but if you'd have asked me in 1988 if "Conan" would one day be the Governer of California...I'd have said that would never happen as well.
