This battle was fought at my house two tyranid 1500 army list versus a space wolf and blood angel army list also at 1500 points each.

enjoy! Tyranids won this one (but they has lost the two previous). Very dense terrain for this one, objectives game was rolled.

Not for long. The polar bears are riding the melting glaciers south in search of penguin-steaks.

well that is a great question.

It's my beat up space marine figure from 1989 recently found at the bottom of my son's toy chest (this figure had a history playing against my buddy in space hulk and it was immortalized by the red tear drop on right knee after a particulary great showing , we used the regular marine rules for space hulk that came out in white dwarf back in 1989-1990 era). I scrubbed him up, gave him new weapons and now he is ready to go to battle once again on the 40K 5th edition battle field (I remade him into a blood angel sanguinary priest as his original paint was white and I barely touched the original 20 year crappy paint job in order to keep its originality).

awesome pics you got, games with fully painted armies look impressive no matter what. I love the terrain and some closeups of those would be awesome (working on a table myself)

Why is this bad? There's no bad blood between these two factions, only Dark Angel's and Space Wolves have bad blood, as far as I know.

Looked like quite the battle, I prefer games with lots of good terrain like this, makes it more interesting then just a flat board you just shoot across for 6 turns.

Most of those characters are painted in outstanding fashion! Love the vintage Baals on the table. The board itself looks fantastic! Nice pics, you should have made a battel report out of this!

How did you guys make the foilage looking pieces of terrain? It looks like those plastic plants you buy for fish tanks but I've looked at those before and they don't really "stand up" very well...

Awesome idea! I love the idea of adding "trophies" and marks of honor and battle damage to minis after a particularly interesting game
You could re-make him, too, from a new assault marine (same pose, etc.) and paint him nice and clean, give him some extra gubbins and really deck out your favorite boy!... I mean, battle brother

I purchased the terrain plants back in 2001 , they were available on the web for 25mm games . You did have to paint the bases.
The foliage pictured has been super resilient over the years .

I know it's not as cool as a coffee or tea poll like you have posted in the past but I thought I would answer some questions on a real nice picture thread that I lost track of, and that was not started that long ago . thank you for your understanding and your positive response

Threadnomancy or not, it was brought back by the OP which is generally considered okay. The battlefield looks great and I love how the minis look. Next time you should try writing up a formal battle report so we can get a better idea of the play by play, because these minis are fantastic!
