What's the verdict on Sir Haunts-a-lot and his Ghost Termintors? IIRC they're 5 points cheaper, vanish if he dies but you might get more if he's wounded. And they get stealth.

Worth it?

I'll probably model them anyway since G-g-g-g-ghost KNIGHTS! Seems a fun little project but I don't know what role they might play on the field.

Probably work

I like them, fluff-wise and in game effect-wise. There's something just cool about making a unit more effective the more the IC leading it gets hurt.

I'm thinking about rebasing my RT GKTs to represent them.

Ghost terms aren't as good as normal Terms because they can't get a psycannon ( and I can't remember if they score or not--if not they're even worse).

Mordrak himself isn't as good as a bog standard GKGM. He's stuck with a daemonhammer which kills off the benefit of base I5. He can't get psychotroke or rad or blind grenades, which altogether are about 3 of the best CC upgrades any army book can offer. And he's not an IC, so his first turn no scatter deepstrike, while awesome, is of real limited utility.

Basically, the question is 'do you want to show up T1 with a Librarian and madly start teleporting more units into your opponent's deployment zone on T2'?

If yes, Mordie is for you, if no, save 25 pts and go with a regular GKGM.

That character is worth 2-3 ghost knights so that is 80-120 points shawed of him.

Also, deep striking and liberian abilaty both happen at the start of the turn, but it does not happen simuntanuasly. You can start using it from the get go.

(Although I would perhaps take 80 points of an inquesitor so you can get a cheap psycannon close turn 1.)

Ghost Knights are no longer 5 pts less. They are the same price as Regular Terminators, but can not get all of the extra Shooting options. (they were 35 pts in the play test version)

He has to roll a D3 better than his wounds to get another terminator. He will probably only get 1 more Terminator a game

Mordrak does not get all of the cool grenades that Regular Grand Masters get, which is a bit of a let down. No blind, Rad or Psychotroke grenades.

weapon wise, all he has is an MC Hammer, which a normal Grand Master can get as well.

Stealthy Terminators can be nice too, but you can get those with a Librarian if you wanted too. And they would be scoring and have more options.

If you want to Deep Strike on the First turn and then shoot a bunch of Storm Bolter or try to run into terrain, then it is a good idea. He is not even that many more points than a regular grand master either.

He might work well with a Shunt Punch List so you can put one more unit in the enemies face on turn one, and he still has the strategy
