So the rule for warp quake states that it stops teleport homers and any other items of wargear that "prevent deep strike scatter". So this seems to mean that it does not affect special rules that prevent deep strike scatter, nor anything that just reduces scatter by 1d6. Am I reading that correctly, cause it sure doesn't follow the fluff as far as I can tell.

Inertial Dampeners/Limited Sentience(Drop pods/Mysetic spores, respectively) would work; neither of those are granted via Wargear.

DOA gets a little stickier, BA Assault Squads/Sang guard have DOA on their own, so would get it. BA models that take jump-packs are granted DOA by the jump-packs, which are wargear, and therefore would not be able to benefit from it.

Others are a case-by-case that would need to have the same principles applied.

what is the wording on warp quake?

If it stops teleport homers and any other items of wargear that "prevent deep strike scatter" then you can not use teleport homers, and Locator beacons to prevent the deep strike scatter.

BA Jump pack equipped models would not be affected by this since models with the DoA rule still scatter.

Deathreaper is correct; any limiting of scatter is fine, it is only Wargear that outright prevent scatter that cannot be used.

So no: Locator Beacons, Teleport Homers, Chaos icons, etc.

But any model that would have some sort of Innate ability to negate scatter would function(eg Lictor Pheromone trail)

No matter what if the deep-striking models do so within 12 of the Unit that cast Warpquake, they mishap.

Yes, that is how we are reading it as well. That anything that reduces scatter would work, and only things that totally prevent scatter do not work.

But you are correct KommisarKel, the nasty part is the mishap not the stopping homers and such.
