So I want an IG army like non other and I have been looking around the web for some inspiring stand ins and the plastic Dismounted Dragoons from Perry Miniatures was love at first sight. However the dismounted sprue contains literally nothing (pic to follow) but the arms and stuff from the mounted dragoons box (rough riders suppose) should fit them to make CC squas etc. Its £1 for a sprue of 2 or £18 for 13 mounted and eight dismounted, fantastic quality! (plus some dead guys too ) So do you think I can make a variable enough small IG force around 750 pnts with the sprue? for referrence look at some blogs here on the board that already used the perry minis in that context... two friends of mine, neil101 and manoknok did their IGs from thise and you can have a look at their threads to see how cool they look...

I have seen neil101's napoleoics on war seer, is he on dakka? I will check out Manoknok's too

those minis look very convincingly transformed into grim dark 40k...the cables do help a lot...

yer, he used the straps. But i wanna use a seperate wire modelled on from just infront of the right hand to the backpack.

You are right about the victrix being very cheap - and have loads of options, and even more if you are game for GS. However it is fiddly. I think you can play Victrix and Perry together and it will look fine. I think you can play Perry and GW together and it will look fine. But victrix and gw the size shows when they are together...but they look good next to marines...and well, the IG is made up of loads of human worlds, I guess the world of Vic'trix is light on gravity.

I have seen your blog, very sweet stuff. I am still deciding perry or victrix and oh noes! the dark eldar goblins are seeping into my soul but I should resist. The problem is perry has next to zero pozability. Victrix is cheap and has kneeling, running options with tonns of different arm positions. But hey i will cross that bridge when i come to it.
