So i was looking at the battle engine for cryx and i realized that as PP makes the models they are going to make sure they are a pain the in butt to build and the way the wraith engine stands is going to require tons of greenstuff. What is everyone elses opinion on this do you guys agree or disagree

PP will make it as hard as they can to actually built any important model
-Behemoth
-Spriggan
-one of the cygnar jack that must be pinned
-Karchev(same leg joint as the 'moth)
-Carnivean

that is all i can think off

I'm actually expecting the Vessel of Judgement to be relatively easy to put together. Painting that thing will be another matter.

I haven't found anything PP makes hard to put together. Sure some of the Titans and the Carnivian may have some gap issues, but even then those aren't that bad to fix.

A friend of mine runs Cryx and he told me he had to pin in every friggin spine on Terminus.
The theory where I game is that PP thinks if the models come in more pieces they can charge more for it. Why else would you find so many figures that could be made in 1 or two pieces made into more? As an example the Khador war dog has one of its legs as a seperate piece but the body is in two halves. Or one of the Axes on the Beserker is made into two parts rather than one. There's no reason for either of these things that I can see.

The Wraith Engine looks incredibly easy to put together. Remember, it's not metal, it's resin. There shouldn't be any problems with the weight of parts pulling the whole thing apart.

It's probably to help fit a certain mold size. Since they do all their casting in house, I imagine it helps tremendously to stick to just a limited amount of different mold sizes. That way they don't have to buy new equipment every time they need an oddly sized part. Cutting the model into more, smaller pieces also helps them cut down on the amount of miscasts.

Speaking of Battle Engines, the Legion Battle Engine concept art is out. I am pleased, though it's ugly as sin.

A theme I'm seeing with the BEs is that the concept art is underwhelming (or just whelming) when the sculpts are much, much cooler.

Since when did having to pin a single large model define it as 'hard to build'?

Not to mention you can see the "finished" Khador, Retribution, and Cryx ones in their gallery.

I imagine the Throne of Everblight will be relatively easy to assemble. Looking forward to it.
