This isn't another Matt Ward hate thread, it's more of a Matt Ward appreciation thread

I want Matt Ward to write the next Chaos Space Marine Codex, and i'm dead serious. Chaos Space Marine fluff was ruined beyond belief in the last codex and at this point can really only be improved upon or at least made more entertaining...


So lets take this opportunity to write the things we think could happen if Matt Ward wrote the next codex of whatever army you play.

Based on previous codices I see several of the below things as possibilities for a Wardification of Chaos:
1. A Curtailing on the emphasis on "renegade" marines and making the book about how awesome the original Traitor legions are.
2. Abbadon the despoiler's sword Drach'nyen actually possess the soul of Malcador the Sigillite
3. Lucious the Eternal was killed by a Custodes at one point and reemerged in the Emperor's palace, at which point he made it into the Throne room and Carved his name on the Golden Throne and "Slaaneshed" his corpse.
4. During a battle between the Iron Warriors and the Iron Hands, the planet they are battling on is assaulted by a massive Ork Waaaaagh. The Iron Warriors and Iron Hands, realizing they both enjoy Iron, team up to counter attack the Orks. This massive battle awakens the Necrons who are slumbering on the planet and they are roused to combat. The Necrons, who shoot green, and the Orks, who are green, decide to form an alliance to combat the "Iron Tide." This battle has been raging for five years and no one cares enough to stop it.


So go ahead... Wardify your Fluff!

The previous 13 black crusades become one all encompassing giant crusade. Aided by kaela mensha Kaine (or whatever he's called) Abby mounts a successful mission against the Imperium only to retreat after hearing The Ultramarines name.

Basically, all you have to do is insert a word into every unit and wargear piece and you're already most of the way there, here is a Nurgle unit:

5x Plaguewolf Cavalry with 4x Plague Claws, 1x Plague Cannon
(Note: only plague marines ride plaguewolves)

Then, throw in a story or two about a random squad sergeant kicking the Swarmlord in the face while headlocking Ghazghkull and you're good to go.

Abaddon the Despoiler reaches Terra to find that CREED has moved the Golden Throne into the Eye while all the Chaos Marines were having a Black Crusade. Then the Ultramarines and Greyknights combine the Drednought and Dredknight into the Marinenought , a massive 60ft vehicle piloted by Creed , Marneus and Draigo that fires marines and swims in seas of Sister of Battle blood. It then destroys the Chaos Gods.
