Alreet peoples,

Ok so iv got a idea iv been toying with since reading Horus Heresy book Decent of Angels. Iv always been a fan of the Grey Knights and medieval theme that other chapters employe. So iv had a think an want to make some Space marines that ride huge war horses in to battle. Looked at the GW horses and none of them really seem to jump at me. So was wonderin if anybody had seen any decent resin, plastic, metal etc horse models online that i could convert to make them look a little fututistic...Warmachine range of figures has a few nice horses but at the same time ther quite pricey so if i wanna get 10 its gonna cos like £100.......as much as i like my hobby, the wife will kill me if she thinks im spending the kids school money on figures that im jus gona canabalize hahaha

Any hints ideas would be really appreciated guys!!

Thanks in advance

Britains Farmyard Heavy Horses are £4.00 for four.

They are 1/32 scale so they will be big animals in 40K which is what you probably want for giant Space Marine horses. Worth a try at the price anyway!

My other idea is Poundstretcher. You never know if you might find a horse toy of some kind.

Would it be too much to speak your native language? Your post is incomprehensible.

Hmmm point taken Brother SRM but as the time is 4:30 am here and im half way through a night shift at work, struggling to stay awake. Grammer and punctuation is not top of my priority list, add a healthy dose of dyslexia and there you are. bad grammer etc all over the place!

Toy horses are cheap, sure, but most are poorly detailed and made from soft plastic which is a pain to convert or even glue.

So you really don't like the WHFB Chaos Cavalry horses? Sure they'd need to be de-chaosified, but that wouldn't be too difficult.

Ok so maybe i was a little hasty with the chaos horses. Iv found some on ebay, for peanuts! mite order a couple and see what i can do with them. They def got the right amount of bulk to them, which would make them ideal for marines!!

Took the words right out of my mouth. Grammar took a hard hit today.

hey

guys, i was re-directed to this section of the site because of grammer and punctuation. Iv only jus joined up and find it amazing that people are so particular about these issues. I for one thought it was about the love of the hobby and as long as others can understand your point, then it should be all good right???

English is not my first lang and its not even my 2nd. I also have dyslexia so am always conscious of things like this and people making me the butt of jokes but come on guys this is supposed to be a fun light hearted fan site ?!?! all i can say is woooooooow kinda disapointed that people dwell more on how you spell 'kaos' or chaos that what point or question you are asking. wooooooow again man!!!!

It's just that it is hard to decipher what people are asking when they cannot take the extra milliseconds of brain activity to form properly structured sentences.

He said he had dyslexia.
To continue to cry about grammar when someone says that is a bit bloody rude dont you think?

Pick your fights mate.

Anyway back to actually making some HELPFUL posts unlike you disrespectful tossers.

Do you want pure animal horses? Or could you been keen for some straight bionic mounts.

Man, getting cussed by some americans, oooooh. Guys I think this place is about positivity, bringing that sort of instant dismissal to the forum really detracts from it.

Anyway warhorses

Possibly.......these.........

Cansen: nice one mate, was begining to think that it wasnt worth joining up. I knew there would be like minded people out there somewhere!!

Well after much searching, i wouldnt mind some pure muscle type of horses. Perhapes like indeed the GW Chaos knight horses. Yet Gwill50 has added a link for me to look at which have exactly what im looking for

http://privateerpress.com/warmachine/gallery/khador/battle-engines-/gun-carriage

but abit pricey if i want between 5-10 of the little chaps, but the do look HARDCORE. You got anything in mind you mite have seen?

Gwill50: You hit it right on the money!!! Positivity is the name of the game!!!!! That horse link you provided has killed me!!! they are exactly what I want, but judging by the price, i will be left wanting hahaha I wonder if they could be bought seperatly like you used to be able to mail order seperate bits from GW?!?!

Have you had a chance to look at the Empire Pistolier horses?

I got some, and they're pretty chunky, they'd look alright with a marine on the back.
