Subject: Simple green, Removing primer - easier than paint?

Hey everyone. Is removing primer easier than acrylic paint? (GW paint) I am going to be removing primed models primer and wanted to know if simple green would do the job easy. I have uses simple green to remove the acrylic off models before (GW paint and Vallejo paint alike) but never just primed models. It was a real easy job! Is simple green a good solution to remove primer alone by itself or is there something better to take off primer?

Primer is harder to get off, in my experience.
If Simple Green is working for you, stick with it.
I use acetone free nail polish remover, because Simple Green is hard to get in the UK.
The drawback of nail polish remover is that it starts to affect the plastic after 10 minutes, so you're in trouble if you forget the models are in the tank.

I'd assume it can't be any harder, assuming the other models you stripped were primed first, as they should be.

I have the same problem with primer...it will NOT come off...been using: brake fluid, industrial purple and super clean...but one boy out of 60 will strip down to plastic....I don't get it, but hell...if you can get the paint off, just re prime it, you won't lose any detail...unless you go nuts with it of course

I've been using dettol lately, and it works really well (to my surprise). I've left the models in the tub over a week (with no damage to detail) and most paint will come off under the tap.
Removing primer (I use GW chaos black spray, if that counts) just takes a tough, old brush and some elbow grease.
I've stripped tanks and battlesuits with no problems (so far) at all!
