Did you watch DS9? A cardassian tailor straight out of a Le Carre book, spy and master assassin, constantly surprising the viewer with whether he'd change sides at the last minute. Always watchable and intriguing. There has never, ever been a star trek character with so many layers and so much development, and he was only a supporting player! Guy had more layers than an onion and amazingly well acted.

Then you hang with the wrong people... There was very little that Garak did that wasn't amazing. Watch the episodes 'in the pale moonlight', 'the wire', 'empok nor', 'by inferno's light' or 'improbable causes'. But, I shall cast a vote for another this time.

Sadly I am one of those who watched the ?whole? series ( if they bought every episode that is, we may have had a few incomplete series from the US since we lag a year or so behind ) , just missing the latest movies of the trek-verse....so I had the option to forget about a few of the worst characters and used it without restraint.. 
@ MGS: somehow I couldn't identify Garak as the Cardassian there..  I was sure I should have known who he is..so thanks for the hint

Wait.. aren't we agreeing here, I'm saying most folks thought he was awesome.. I was tired when I wrote the sentance though, I should really watch out for those double negatives.
