Hey guys, I've made myself another video battle repost of a game I played.
It was an Eldar vs Imperial Guard game from the Battle Missions book.

Great battle report! The Eldar did really badly, but they really didn't have much of a chance. If you would have had more Dire Avengers, they could have zoomed around the mass of guardsmen and potentially bladestormed them out of existence, but it would have been a risk. I had a similar battle where in the end all I had was half a unit of Ard boyz and two meganobs, and managed to pull out a draw against Tyranids in the sixth turn and it ended. As a side not, your basement is what my game nook would look like if I ever cleaned it up. (Not bloody likely...)

Yo man, that was my eldar - I actually don't really take big bladestorm squads anymore, because they are mediocre against marine types, useless against vehicles, and even against hordes they can be stopped by cover saves. So many armies are all 'hard' targets that I can't countenance them in an all-comers list.

My big mistake this game, was I didn't deploy cautiously enough, given I knew I was going first (and setting up first as well, stupid battle missions) - I should have clustered right on one side of the board, and I should have predicted Klueless would put all his infantry in that one big building.

An improved deployment was what he needed, although I reckon he might have saved it by circling the mass of transports round the back instead of through the middle. but good game anyway.

Watched all your battle reports last night. Great job! Enjoyed them tremendously, i must say the eldar players luck seems to be consistantly bad every game. My fave part of the videos is your pal on the sidelines who always had a smoke or a pint in hand, what a lad....

I like the way you do your reports, It was a really good game as well, Morale Victory for the Guardsmen though

Eh, I don't have particularly bad luck, the games online are only a portion of what we've played recently. I do think that in both recent reports of my Eldar vs Klueless' IG, I have deployed more or less openly (the first time he seized initiative, not my fault) and gotten in a straight-up shooting war with IG, which is nearly always going to go badly for eldar.

In this game, the more I think about it the more I should have stayed with all my fire dragon serpents and fire prisms hidden, in one corner, and let him worry about trying to take the objectives, instead of worrying about shooting it out. After all, it came down to objectives anyway.

nice battle report. I liked how for once everything was painted and you had a great board unlike a lot of battle reports

Fair doos, i respect that you don't wanna use luck(or lack thereof) as an excuse. BTW you talk like a bit like Lloyd Grossman (not an insult just an observation, this coming from me whos weird non accent is intepreted as either Scottish/Australian/American/Saffer on a regular basis lol)

It was nice seeing some well painted armies in a battle report. Especially those eldar, great job.

Great batte report! By the way te eldar tanks were very well painted and it hurt for me to see them get raped. The eldar player neds to next time concentrate more on killing the infantry then the tanks and elites. on an objective game. I know it seems risky but thats how I win....Must kill all infantry units first! Anyways lookeing forward to seeing more videos.
