Tried a variation of this list yesterday, just filled the remaining points with psybolt ammo in order to game but I don't think I'll take it in a full proper list. I'm thinking maybe add daemon hammers to all troop units for a anti tank punch if up close and hunter killers on all Rhinos for some anti tank, though the HKs will cost 80 points and single shot but does give some ranged anti tank. Was also thinking seems the Purifiers are shooting more than assaulting maybe give the Inquisitors conversions beamers and have them deploy on there own for some S10 AP1 goodness. I do like the rad grenades though on them but if the Inquisitors are geared up to get into combat and not making it there while the Purifiers are still doing shooty nastyness then what's the point.

Well you don't have many options for additional units because most of your slots are filled (and I think all the Fast Attack ones would be too expensive?). 1-2 small units of Henchmen retinues for the Inquisitors could work (not scoring but meh), you could either go minimum sized melta/assault units or go for a shooty squad and take the Conversion Beamers and Multi Meltas (if they stay at long range the Beamer hurts, if they come closer the Meltas hurt).

Aside from that you could maybe bulk up 1-2 units to 10 strong or swap some of the Rhinos to Razorbacks? Daemon Hammers would be nice if you have some points spare and a couple of Servo Skulls are always helpful if you have 10 or so points left.

I've looked at Interceptor squad and I could get a single unit with psycannon and psybolt ammo but I don't fancy it as it will be a expensive suicide unit even without the psybolt ammo.

I've been giving conversion beamers some thought. If the Inquisitors take something out they're costing 70 points which isn't too bad for S10 AP1 and will just annoy people too. I doubt I'll put anything else with them as there's nothing else to match the range of them :(

I tried the Razorbacks and if I would take Razorbacks it would be all or nothing.

Daemon hammers I've considered and I like the idea of those so I'm tempted to put one of those in each troop squad which will burn 60 points. Useful for close anti tank.

I've been giving another Purifier squad some thought. If I take a psycannon from one unit and give it to another means two units will have one psycannon and the other two. Gives me another Rhino and another psycannon too. I could then either drop a Inquisitor and take hunter killers on all tanks and maybe put a conversion beamer on the other or maybe both for long range shootyness.

Choices choices..

I would build a retinue around one of your inquisitors that is focused on long range support.

3 servitors, w/ 1 HB and 2 plasma cannons 50pts
Jokaero Weaponsmith 35pts
Conversion Beamer 45pts

hmmm interesting idea...my only problem is I'm going for tanks with the conversion beamer so plasma cannon probably would be the most useful or multi meltas and just sit 24" away.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here's a new list. Added two Henchmen units which don't take slots. Got three multi meltas in the squads thanks to the space monkeys and I just hope I roll the right dice for a ability as they will be in cover so extra armour save wouldn't be too bad but invulnerable not so good. Extra range would be best followed by rending .

I'm 5 points over but amongst the people I play they will be ok about this, if anyone has any problems I'll lose a hammer from a Purifier squad.

Plan here is Henchmen and Inquisitors bunker up and lay down shots on tanks at range, once tanks come close multi meltas can be used.

Rhinos will all move forward laying down psycannon fire. I've dropped the halberds from the Purifiers due to points but alos because they're shooting mostly so won't see combat against infantry all that often.

All infantry units have a single hammer mostly for vehicles.

Dreadnoughts do what Dreadnoughts do.

In total has two conversion beamers, 6 multi meltas, 10 psycannons, 8 daemon hammers, 12 S8 autocannon shots twin-linked and a crap load of storm bolter shots.

I did consider hunter killers but 10 points for a single shot is a bit meh and psybolt ammo is interesting but 20 points extra on top of a 5 man unit makes them expensive. Kills T3 slightly easier and wounds monstrous creatures a little bit better but the most common T4 won't be affected massively.

What you think now?

Any thoughts on the latest list? I'm not 100% sure about those monkeys could get me another two Servitors, two Purifiers and some halberds..

Yo man. I don't think conversion beamers go too well with the multimelta units (which I think are good units) because of the need to fire at targets >42" away. Why not drop both conversion beamers, and one inquisitor (-115 points) and then consolidate the retinues into one unit - 3 MM servitors, 2 jokaero, in a chimera (total of +45 points). That gives you one less unit, but it is in a chimera, all 5 MM can fire out, you have a much better chance of getting the good offensive bonuses. I think a single chimera pillbox goes better in this list than 2 small foot units. I think the conversion beamers are a bit of a red herring, since they don't go with any other weapons in the game and an inquisitor is too fragile to use independently.

That plan would give you what, 65 points to spare? Can you switch a strike squad to a purifier squad for that much? I think the firepower upgrade and cleansing flame is worth giving up a scoring unit.

I've been giving the conversion beamer and multi melta some thought and I don't think I am going to run with it. What I am going to do is add another Purifier Squad and take a single Inquisitor with power weapon, power armour and rad grenades who can go with a normal squad seems Purifiers will be shooting until they reach combat.

Total infantry count is 46.
