Subject: Forest Goblin 1500pts too lightweight? or just right?

Hello,
Coming back to Fantasy from err 6th edition... And now wanted to start a fun army while still having some bite. SO I looked into these guys After seeing something like it on utube. Never really had Orc & Goblins before (was hardcore Undead. then vampires came and i disliked them )
Anyways heres the list.
Bitza - Gobbo War boss
Orge Blade
The Other Trickster Shard
Helm of Discord
Seed of rebirth
Light Armour
Shield
Gigantic Spider ( Ittiza)
Snagla Grobspit
Mumbo - Gobbo Shaman
lv 2
giant wolf (spider model!)
Ruby Ring of Ruin
Dispel scroll
3 units of 10 spider riders
full commands
bows
Da Fang Fliggas
5 Spear Chukkas
Pin'Coo'Shan
Arachanrok
Creeper Launcher
Idea was to play a keep away army with spiders using bows to wear them down. Snagga would pull down the enemy Artillery. And the Ring of ruin was to deal with enemy flankers/flyers. Arachanrok is basically an expensive soak but if i hold it back till snagga arrives he's my wall for charges. Bitza is basically meant to be a challenge assassin with double pots making him quite good - well for 1 turn. With 'the other trickster shard' playing key there to make the hit stick. might drop shield for ad weapon as hes got a 2 up save and the extra attack might be nice.
Anyway am looking for feed back before i start buying this from some seasoned greenskin players.
cons really are lack of meatshields i know but i reckon i can avoid most direct charges.
and ofc Ld rolls... but thats gobllins for you...

only 1 thing i have to say is, you can't have 2 of the same type of magic item. i.e you can't have potion of toughness and the potion of speed on the the same guy.

ahh... didnt know that. Dam new rules... OK Hmm ok going to have to drop both pots and change the armour. Hows seeds of regrowth, helm of discord. + light armour. Helm gives him a chance to atleast get his way and i really like 'the other shard' see how that plays and if doesnt come up too much i might dump it for a T pot.

I like it! But then again, it's a scaled down list of my planned 3000 point goblin army (3 arachnaroks, 4 forest goblins, 2 blobs of night goblins).
The only problem I see is that you've got a LOT of points invested in the Arachnarok, and there isn't really a whole lot else for your opponent's artillery to shoot at. While the Arachnarok is certainly a beast at 1500, he's a big target and is going to draw a lot of fire.
After the Arachnarok, you don't have a lot of options for melee combat.

yeah, i'm kinda worried about his fate... But hey gobbos need the muscle really. I was actually thinking about hiding him. Not move out at all. force them to come into the spear chukkas. the cannons will then be mostly likely pick on the lord if hes not hidden too. and then i guess they will pick off the spear chukkas.
the ace in the hole is Snagla He gives Deff Creepers rules to 1 unit of spider riders. Dev Charge+ ambusher so with luck and terrain flying my way on a 3 up turn 2 i get rid of the cannon threat. Snagla is really nice for 115 pts and gives riders some bite. only problem is rolling hat 3+...
The other idea was out flank 1 side hard with the whole army. forcing them to chase me and hopefully cause a traffic jam in mid.

More spider riders less spear chukkas I think.

Problem is you need something to soften up what you will be charging. Right now there is no real rock unit, aside from the mega spider, so damage in another form is pretty useful. Easpically when it only costs 35 points a pop.

yeah this was my thinking. the 2and a bit extra riders per 35pt chukka isnt going to kill anywhere near as much. Your never going to steadfast with a mounted army as them slaves and stuff will swarm you. The 5 (6 if i can squeeze it in) can potentially remove a whole core unit in 1 turn.
The spider riders are armed with bows and are fast so can slip out of charges and wear down the units. hopefully to the point of breaking them. With the ability to slip right over buildings and forests too i can bait units out of positions and simply move over terrain. Welll thats the theory anyway. If i upped the points to 1750 i'd maybe get some trolls as a wall i think that wouldn't be too uncharacterised for forest goblins? what does the fluff police think of that?
