Hi guys,

Just a quick question. If a group of necron warriors are removed due to sweeping advance, can they get their WBB if another group of warriors are within 6"?

If a Tomb spider is within 12" of a warrior group that is wipe out, when the warrior get their WBB, do they join the spider?

Thanks

No, any unit caught by a sweeping advance is destroyed.

A necron that makes a successful WBB roll must join a Necron unit of the same type.

Thank you for the fast reply.

For the second question, does that mean the necron warrior that pass the WBB because the spider have to join the other group of warrior even they are super far away?

Yes, it would still join the closest unit of the same type on the battlefield.

About the first question. I noticed the sweeping advance stated the models are remove, and the WBB rule stated removed as casuaity. In that case, where does it say they can't take their WBB due to sweeping advance when there is a same unit within 6"?

Where does it say you can take WBB vs SA?

SA says it cannot be over-written by a rule that does not specify that it applies to SA.

To expound on the spider question, as I think you are misunderstanding how the spider works, here is a rundown:

If the model is allowed a WBB (so not destroyed in a way that prevents it), and the spider is nearby, it allows the downed Necron to join any like unit on the table (ie: a warrior could join another warrior unit on the table) if there isn't a valid unit nearby.

EDIT: Damn, I posted this a while ago, and it just now shows up and looks. Ignore this, as the issue has been explained in detail already.

Interesting thing worth noting. Only the warriors actually removed by sweeping advanced don't get WBB. If say 3 warriors were down due to failed armorsaves in the prior combat they would still get WBB rolls assuming the other WBB conditions were met.

Interesting thing worth noting, the entire unit, to include models already damaged, are removed by the sweeping advance. So those three models already laying down, they're gone as well. Sweeping Advance removes the UNIT, not individual models. And damaged Necrons are still part of their unit at the time of the Sweeping Advance. See the necron codex, Monolith rules, for confirmation taht damaged models are still part of the unit.
