Hey all. Have recently picked up the old model of Marneus Calgar sitting on his commode of doom, replete with honour guard. Always wanted this mini, since Rogue Trader days actually. Bless Ebay .
Anyways, it got me thinking about collecting an army of marines useing the old mini's from Rogue Trader. If I can find them. I was kinda counting on you good people to point me in the general direction of any Rogue Trader mini's you see coming up. Especially RTB-01's. Ok, I know they are like hens teeth, but help me out here, huh? Cheers folks.....be good......

Unpainted RTB001's are rare, but painted are not so uncommon, and many of the metal figures of that time are no more costly than newer figures. Getting the backpacks is always a problem though.

I'm a big proponent of old armies! I've got a Crimson Fists army made up entirely of RT/2nd ed models, and it's one of my favorites:
Here's the whole army:

Captain Delgado and his command squad:

Sergeant Rico and his tactical squad:

Sergeant Villa and his rhino-borne tactical squad:

Lead tactical squad - the sergeant may be used as Pedro Kantor at some point in the future:

Techmarine Bob with his Thudd gun (counts-as Thunderfire) and the plasma cannon dreadnought:

My second dreadnought, with what I counts-as an assault cannon:

The Space Hulk Terminator squad, with "Bernie" the heavy flamer Terminator, who earned eternal glory in this battle: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/231337.page

I have a bunch of 2nd ed and modern stuff too, but these are just the oldest of the old school guys.

You should be thinking days or weeks to pick stuff up in good condition or at a reasonable price. Apart from a few rarities the marines are not too hard to get hold of, but a few things like the RT Land Raider or Predator, the robots or early Dreadnought and the large weapons like Rapiers and Tarantulas are somewhat harder to find.
